Shelter-Rite Covers: Manufactured with American-made marine-grade vinyl, each cover is precision cut by a CNC machine, hand sewn with nylon thread, and finished with stainless steel grommets. These covers fit snugly and shed water like a duck! |

Netting: Our netting is made in the USA to exacting specifications. We use 2.5 x 2.5cm 1.6mm thick steel netting that is galvanized after welding to prevent corrosion. Our custom roll formers flatten the netting, making it neat and flat. |

Wheel System: The Alpha-Lite wheel system uses leverage to raise the coop. This makes movement easier as does the extra large solid wheels (no flat tyres here!). |

What about foxes attacking mobile chicken coops?
The coops are a strong defense against foxes and a coops frequent movement disrupts the fox instinct to plan an attack days in advance. In fact, we have not yet had one customer report a fox accessed their Alumi Coop across Australia. However, if you have a strong concern about foxes you can add our Pred-X hotwire kit to your coop. This kit attaches to your coop to run an adjustable height hotwire around the base of the coop. Check out our Pred-X hotwire kits here.

Yes! We often use a Amarok dual cab ute to transport the Backyarder size coop. The coop comes in a large box with dimensions of 1.9m x 1.25m x 0.25m (75kg). So it does hang out of the tray but is certainly not going to fall out. We recommend doing some quick measurements of your tray vs those box details to make sure it fits in your ute. Ideally, you would want 2 people to load and unload the Backyarder - however it can be done by one person at a stretch if they are quite able-bodied.
- The Backyarder chicken tractor will arrive in a large cardboard box.

- The Backyarder will arrive in a large cardboard box.You will just need basic tools on hand (stanley knife, adjustable spanners, cordless screwdriver, wire cutters, hammer, electric screwdriver. Optional tools to make the installation easier include: angle grinder, 10mm and 11mm spanner, 19mm socket). You will benefit from a second person assisting you at times. There is an installation booklet with your coop or you can use our video setup guide.

I have absolutely loved the Backyarder. It’s true – you get what you pay for. The level of build quality is excellent, this little coop has survived a cyclone and a number of extremely severe storms here in QLD since I’ve had it. I love the quality, the ease of moving around and the external servicing of water, feed and eggs. This product is truly a “as advertised”. Love it.
